Sharon Bosley-House, Founder and Lead Designer/Planner

Sharon is the creative visionary behind Avant-Garde Designs. With over 25 years experience, she has been an innovator in the industry, setting the standard for high-end events – exclusive corporate galas, wedding extravaganzas, hip entertainment industry soirées and social events – among a private and corporate clientele who all share a passion for the dramatically different. 

Sharon has received many accolades and awards throughout her career in the event décor and planning industry. Most recently, Sharon was honoured to receive the 2021 Ottawa Wedding Awards -Industry Leader Award. 

She loves to create unique and customized events and wants all her clients to have a fun experience while creating a memorable event for their guests.

Sharon is a philanthropist and advocate for youth mental health. Sharon and her husband, Tony, are the Founders of Kaleidoscope of Hope – a non-profit organization that has raised over $800,000 since 2011 towards youth mental health initiatives.

She also launched Love613, along with her high-school friend Catherine Landry, to show love and gratitude in the form of gift baskets filled with locally sourced products and thank-you notes to front-line workers at Ottawa Hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with Sharon, the Team at Avant-Garde Designs is passionate about giving back to the Ottawa Community. They fundraise and volunteer for a variety of non-profit organizations, including Kaleidoscope of Hope, Love613, and Operation Ramzieh.
